Substitute Khairul Nizam scored one and made another as Home United came from behind to beat Balestier Khalsa 2-1 in the Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League at Toa Payoh Stadium on Monday night.

With this result, the Protectors find themselves just two points behind leaders Albirex Niigata (S) who fell 2-1 to Hougang United in the other match played on the same day.

Coming off a goalless draw against the Garena Young Lions, Balestier Khalsa will be keen to build on that when they host Home United in the Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League at Toa Payoh Stadium on Monday night.

The result against the Young Lions ended a run of four straight defeats in all competitions where they also crashed out of the RHB Singapore Cup to Cambodian side Nagaworld FC.

Garena Young Lions and Balestier Khalsa settled for a point each after a 0-0 draw in the 2017 Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Thursday night.

Despite having a numerical advantage for the last half-hour, the Young Lions could not capitalise and missed out on an opportunity to get a first win of the season.
