Argentinean playmaker Ricardo Sendra scored his second goal in as many games as Geylang International edged Balestier Khalsa 1-0 in the 2017 Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Friday night.

This was the Eagles’ first win in four matches as they leapfrogged Hougang United to go fifth with 14 points from 10 matches.

Balestier Khalsa will look to put an end to their four-match losing run in the 2017 Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League when they take on Geylang International at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Friday night.

The Toa Payoh-based side fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Warriors FC in their last game, and head coach Marko Kraljevic is keen to see a better performance from his side especially in the attacking department.

Warriors FC ended their two-match losing run as Dutch-Congolese forward Joel Tshibamba early goal was enough to seal the three points against Balestier Khalsa in a televised 2017 Great Eastern- Hyundai S.League game on Friday night.

Balestier played for more than half an hour with nine men due to the dismissals of Sheikh Abdul Hadi and Huzaifah Aziz, but the Warriors were unable to produce a bigger win.
