Geylang United FC 2-0 Balestier Khalsa FC

Geylang International got their first win of the 2017 Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League season after overcoming Balestier Khalsa 2-0 at the Bedok Stadium on Saturday night.

Al-Qaasimy Rahman and Shawal Anuar scored in each half to help the Eagles bounce back from Monday night’s 2-0 loss to Hougang United. But things could have been different if Balestier had converted their early opportunities.

Geylang International goalkeeper Syazwan Buhari has issued a rallying cry to his teammates ahead of their next Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League match against Balestier Khalsa at the Bedok Stadium on Saturday night.

Despite falling 2-0 to Hougang United in their opening game, they played well for most part of the match but were let down by their attack who squandered numerous chances to find the back of the net.


Shaiful’S Late Goal Helps Warriors Beat Balestier

Shaiful Esah scored with two minutes remaining as Warriors FC came from behind to beat Balestier Khalsa 2-1 in the Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League at the Toa Payoh Stadium on Tuesday night.

Raihan Rahman gave the Tigers a 27th-minute lead but Jordan Webb levelled matters shortly after the break to rescue a point for the visitors before Shaiful’s late winner.
